Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of molecular diagnostic tests, including but not limited to PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, and sequencing, ensuring precise and accurate results.
• Implement and rigorously monitor quality control procedures to ensure all laboratory activities comply with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality performance.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, conducting regular checks to guarantee optimal functionality and prevent malfunctions.
• Enter and meticulously manage data in laboratory information management systems (LIMS), ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient information and laboratory data.
• Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff, clinicians, and researchers, fostering a cooperative environment and facilitating the smooth exchange of information and expertise.
• Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines, actively participating in safety training and drills to maintain a secure and compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., ASCP) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, and sequencing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Perform repetitive tasks with precision, stand for extended periods, and execute manual dexterity tasks in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and biological materials safely, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
• Work occasional evenings or weekends to meet testing needs and deadlines, ensuring flexibility for urgent projects.
